KiddoReel is an app for parents. A parent chooses trusted YouTube channels and children watch videos from only those channels in a simple, locked "Kids Mode". This policy explains what data the app stores and why.
Only a parent (an adult) creates an account and signs in. Children do not create accounts, cannot type personal information, and cannot change settings without the parent PIN.
No advertising. No analytics or tracking tools. We do not sell or share personal data. We do not collect location, contacts, photos or microphone data. We never download or copy videos.
Only to run the app: sign-in, showing approved videos, enforcing screen time and bedtime, showing the parent the child's activity, and reviewing reported videos.
Account and child data is kept until the parent deletes it. Video information received from YouTube (titles, thumbnails) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, as YouTube requires.
In the app: Parent area → menu (⋮) → "Delete account". This deletes the account, all child profiles, screen time, history, favorites, hidden videos, reports and approved channels. A single child can be deleted from the parent home screen. You can also ask us by email.
You can see your data in the app, correct it, and delete it at any time. Parents in the EU/UK (GDPR) and the US (COPPA) may also contact us to request access to, or deletion of, their own or their child's data.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules allow each parent to read and change only their own family's data.
If this policy changes, the date above is updated and important changes are shown in the app.
